Budapest Autumn Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, with the rich programs we have gotten used to over the past two decades, due to which the event is known as one of the best contemporary art festivals of Europe.

Starting on October the 8th and lasting for more than a week, dozens of venues will host many different froms of art and many different artists from all over the world. Some will be returning after successful performances over the past years, others will make their long awaited debuts.

Audiences will be able to see all types of films and theatre, music and dance, fashion shows and performance art productions, photography and sculpture exhibitions,old fashined book presentations but also very modern visions of interactivity aided by the technical possibilities offered by computers and mobile phones. Artists from five continents will be invited to entertain local lovers of modern art sas well as tourists from hopefully five continents too.

If you are planning to visit the Hungarian capital in the off season period and happen to like interesting cultural events, the beginning of October is surely the best time to come to Budapest.
