Garden of Ruins - Szombathely

The Jardanyi Paulovics Istvan Romkert � Garden of Ruins is located in the city of Szombathely in western Hungary. Visitors may see the ruins of Colonia Claudia Savaria, established by Roman Legions around 50A.D, including a 200x200 floor space emperor�s palace, where the salon was ornamented with a unique mosaic floor.
The garden, being part of the Savaria Museum, is open from the middle of March until the end of October, every day except for Monday. Guided tours are also available. A separate exhibition honors local pottery masters.
