Old Lady Water Tower - Szeged |

The Old Lady, or the Water Tower on St, Stephan's Square (Szent István tér), is located in downtown Szeged. The tower is the oldest reinforced concrete building in Hungary, holding 1000m3 water. It was build in 1904, and renovated in 2006. Visitors may access the 30-metres high terrace on a winding staircase, and enjoy a beautiful panorama view of the city and the surrounding regions. Apart from the open house held annually, the tower can be visited on the first saturday of each month, from 10am until 16pm, or by appointment for groups.
