The Pick Salami and Paprika Museum is located in the city of Szeged, on the upper Tisza shore. The Szeged wintersalami, nowdays called Pick Salami is made of pork meat and pork lard, with secret spices, cold smoking, and dry ripening. The Szeged paprika is made by milling the ripened, after-ripened, and dried pods of traditional cultivated paprika, grown on local fields. The museum reveals details about the history and the production of these two Hungaricums. It is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 3 until 6pm. Visitors are offered product samples, purchasing discount, and a gift postcard.
