The settlement of Szilvasvarad is situated in Norhern Hungary, at the feet of the Buk Mountain, in Heves County, along the Szalajka stream, in the territory of the Buk National Nature Reserve, where the lipicai horse, coach-driving, and horse sports are at home.
The region between Szilvasvarad and the Szalajka valley, a horse racing field can accommodate up to 14 thousand people on its stands, and various horse and coach-driving races and events are held.
