The Fireman Museum of Eger is situated north of downtown, in the Cifra hostya quarter, named after a highly ornamented gate on the city wall. Surrounded by small houses and narow streets, the old firefighter barrack includes three starting posts, built in 1929. The exhibition includes the typical machinery and equipment of this era, and visitors may also observe them in use. The permanent exhibition on the ground floor presents the history of firefighters in Eger.
